"If OS are like Liverpool, what team represents OSM?"
"Gretna"

Your suggestions?

Hull City - recent climbers, hanging in there but not quite ready for the top 4!

After Arsenal's struggle last night against Hull, I am not so sure!

Manchester United - supported by masses of people all over the world, regardless of where they come from. And soon to dominate. [And this from a Chelsea fan]

Well, I suppose one big difference is that OS focus on the UK, so they are a bit like the Great Britain team, whereas OSM is more global, but only focuses on Streets and transport routes currently. So, in football team terms, I know this might be a contentious analogy, but the OS are like the British Deaf Football team (http://www.britishdeaffootball.com/), not because they do not listen ;-) OSM are more like a general set of global all stars rolled out for friendly games, but again that isn't really fair to the seriousness of this effort.

Perhaps a better analogy is that OS is more like the UK FA and OSM are more like the global football directory (http://www.4thegame.com/global-football-directory/).

I would like to do further analogy in terms of trophies/competitions, goals and standings, but I should be getting on with other things...
